You are purchasing the beautiful medallion charm which is a relic casing. This object used to be owned by a nun; threads and wax seal are intact.
The relic within the medallion is free, our gift to you.
During Joseph’s lifetime, Italy was torn by civil war while the poor and the sick suffered from neglect. Inspired by reading the life of Saint Vincent de Paul and moved by the human suffering all around him, Joseph rented some rooms to nurse the sick of his parish and recruited local young women to serve as staff.
St. Joseph Cottolengo founded the Daughters of Compassion, the Daughters of the Good Shepherd, the Hermits of the Holy Rosary, and the Priests of the Holy Trinity.
His feast day is April 30th.

This powerful relic has also been originally blessed by Pope Francis, it is now also blessed by Pope Leo XIV during public audience in St Peter’s Square during the Papal Blessing.
